If you’re an Assistant, I’m preaching to the choir: in the Italian market, a role as complex and strategic as that of an Executive Assistant is still not recognised and valued as it should be.
Think about it…
How many times has your role been shrugged off by friends and family?
How many times have your own managers belittled your skills?
How many times have you struggled to have your role accepted in the workplace?
After 20 years of experience as a Senior Executive Assistant in top-tier multinationals, I can safely say I’ve seen it all. 😀
Life as an EA is a constant challenge. Or rather, it’s an obstacle course where every hurdle is one of the countless stereotypes that play down your role as that of a jack of all trades, secretarial support, or the equivalent of someone playing Tetris with the Outlook calendar. No more.
An Executive Assistant is much more than all those clichés suggest.
Far from fitting that common stereotype, an EA is a strategic and irreplaceable resource that actively contributes to the success and development of an organisation.
But a lack of awareness of and recognition for our role in the Italian market puts significant constraints on our ability to effectively communicate and affirm our value.
And professional development bears the brunt.
There is no specific professional training, and the little that’s on offer doesn’t reckon with everyday challenges and doesn’t provide relevant solutions. As such, it can’t turn us into professionals. From this gap and wish for something better, the Mainexecutives Academy was born.
Everything I’ve learnt over 20 long years’ worth of trial and error, I put right at your fingertips – straightforward, practical and ready to use.
I created Mainexecutives with the ambition of making it easier for professionals who, like you, struggle to affirm their value and grow in the role.
With Mainexecutives, I’ve created the Executive Assistant training programme that I’d have wished for myself in the first place for my 20-year journey as an Executive Assistant.
On top of that, I also wanted to create a whole community to compare notes with, who can really get you, who went through the same challenges and with whom you can grow and broaden your horizons. When I design a course or workshop, I think back on the specific situations that I found trying, whether professionally or emotionally, over the past 20 years.
I think about what would have helped me in those situations: familiarity with a technical tool, or an awareness of the role that would have given me more confidence.
My goal is to give you the tools and awareness to deal with those situations, but without having to labour as much as I had to.
It’s time to add value to the time you invest – settle for no less than the best!
How much time and money have you wasted on unspecific training courses?
How many times have you completed a course only to think: “No one in that room truly got my role or the challenges I face in the office daily”?
With Mainexecutives, every training session is a strategic investment in your professional future.
